A much needed day off was had by all. Monty hung out in the round pen, eating, and contemplating why he was suddenly freezing??? I can see that blanket wearing lessons will follow shortly!
I need a countdown ticker! I saw it on Jessie's blog and forgot to ask her where/how...
Sorry you're freezing; it's flipping cold up here today and feels like snow. I'm chilled down to the bone. Sandy's shedding like a malamute in spring time, you'd think these boys would be hanging onto their hair, wouldn't you? I'm thinking of finding a blanket, too. I may even find one for the horse... :)
City Boy grew up in Anaheim and wanted to move back for the first six years he was here. Then we took a month long vacation and he swore he'd never return (on a permanent basis, that is.) Traffic drove him insane, lol!
Before my adventures in the Extreme Mustang Makeover Competitions, I was not a professional horse trainer. These events made me realize that I should be. I do these events for fun and for the personal challenge they provide. They are a test of the skills I have gathered over the years with horses. I considered my first EMM my "Fourth Decade Adventure", as my first EMM mustang arrived 3 days before my 40th birthday! Now, after being accepted to 5 of these events, I feel that training mustangs is truely my calling. I provide a pleasant human foundation to horses that should otherwise be running free on the range.
